Handwriting scanner app - your recommendations please!

Does anyone use a scanner app to take handwritten note to word docs -that they get on with?

Also do they allow you to add any extra text in at a later point?

Looking for something non-fiddly and not too pricey!

Not sure exactly what you’re after, but if you have an iPhone, Apple Notes (free) is preinstalled and can scan text (probably depends on quality of handwriting). You can add text to the note or copy/paste into word.

Oh that would be better! Only I can’t see how it works.

Is it the regular Notes app then??

Yep. It's the regular Notes app. Open the app -> click the square with pencil icon (bottom right)-> type a header (date, subject, etc so you can find it later)-> press the camera icon -> choose 'scan text'.
