Home business insurance for counsellor

Looking for recommendations..

I’m a counsellor/psychotherapist who until recently has worked from a rented room and via zoom. I’ve converted a room in my house to enable me to see clients at home but think I need to upgrade my home insurance to ensure I’m adequately covered. I already have professional indemnity insurance via howdens which covers some elements but not damages to my property by a disgruntled client or opportunistic theft (both highly unlikely)

Can anyone suggest a suitable product? I guess childminders/tutors would be in a similar situation?

Ring your current house insurer first, they may not allow visitors to the premises. If they do, you'll need a separate public liability insurance as a basic. You would be best speaking to a broker.
