Where Do I Start?

Id appreciate some advice if anyone can help at all.

I have an idea for an item of clothing that I want to make and sell ( I'm not from a business back round, nor can I sew, though I have two family members who are very good at it, from this you can take it that I am thinking of starting very small, its been a bit of a light bulb situation )

I know I need to get some samples made - I have spent alot of time looking up information an researching the product.

I'm really not sure where to start with it all, so any advice would be fantastic. Thanks.

Do you plan to make the product yourself or outsource this part? If you have never made clothing or sewn you either need to learn or partner up with someone or another company.

You need to calculate your profit margins

Costs
Materials
Labour
Where will you sell them? So website costs
How will you promote them?
How will you despatch and deliver them?
Do you need insurance?
How will you take payment?
Packaging costs

What will you sell them for?

Is there a profit?
