Hiya everyone,
Can anyone recommend any business mentoring services or business mentors? Just started a small business and looking for advice.
Not area specific as were all on zoom now anyway

Advice on growth and marketing would be a great start. I started a new business in November last year its grown slowly but not quite to where I would like it to be so any tips on how to increase sales would be welcomed.

Hi there exciting to start a new business - please be aware that there are companies out there that claim to do mentoring but unfortunately they use tactics of coercive manipulation. LIG (Lighthouse International Group), Lighthouse Kidz, the Legends Network, bethechangeagency.org - avoid them. Young entrepreneurs, students get sucked in because they actually care and due to our universal human response to group and situational pressures they don’t realize what is happening at which point coercive manipulation has disabled their critical thinking - Reddit has some good information!

Contact your local Chamber of Commerce. I am also starting a new business and through my local Chamber I received 12hrs of support for free. I could use it however I wanted, selecting from a range of training courses and/or one-to-one business mentoring. I found it extremely helpful particularly the one-to-one mentoring which really forced me to think through the whole business plan and cash flow.
