Can you do self employed work outside of main job on Stat Mat Pay / Mat leave?

Hi
I get SMP from my employer (full time).
I also have a small side business which I do coaching and am wondering if that can continue whilst on mat leave (dropping to a morning or two a month or so, just to keep my hand in and name out there - tho with the admin)

I know you get 10 x KIT days .... do these apply across both jobs?

I've tried to read from the gov site but I found it confusing.
thanks

Found this for you:

I have an employed and self-employed job. Can I continue my self-employed work while I am receiving SMP from my employer?

Yes, you can do voluntary work or self-employment (that is not subject to class 1 national insurance contributions) and still get SMP from an employer. This means you can do self-employed work both before and after the birth and continue to be paid SMP by another employer and it does not matter whether you started your self-employment before or after the birth.

You can, as long as it isn't stipulated in your main job contract that you cannot.
