Food hygiene and Alcohol license for small catering business

Hi everyone, I'm after a bit of advice if there's anyone on here that has catering experience (I have none!).
After quitting my corporate job during the pandemic to be able to focus on my young kids, I'm now trying to think of my next move but I feel this is my chance to reinvent myself and find something that would work better around family life. I'm french and I've always loved sharing my love of french food with my friends here, so my idea would be to have a small catering business, delivering french-themed brunches to people's houses. I haven't even started looking into food hygiene regulations but I'm already thinking that I would need an alcohol license as wine is so central to any french gastronomic offering!!
Has any of you got any insight or advice on how to get an alcohol license if there's no proper retail premises? (ie I'd be running this from my kitchen!). How do councils usually see this sort of applications? is it even possible to get one?
Also, any recommendations in terms of food hygiene courses out there? what's the minimum I should have? I'm assuming food inspectors come into your house in order to give you accreditation. How hard is it to obtain when it's not a commercial kitchen?

So many questions! Thanks in advance! :)
