I've been building up consultancy work for the last couple of years. I've held on to an employed position two days a week to provide steady income and a safety net. Covid has forced me to make decisions, as I'm currently furloughed from employment, with the possibility of redundancy or having to resign due to lack of childcare. So I've been increasing the consultancy, networking etc and think there's a chance I can make enough from this if I keep the momentum up.
I've always avoided LinkedIn, as I dislike having my CV available for anyone to see, plus I work in a very niche area so never thought it would be worth it.
Does anyone have an opinion? Has it led to more work in a niche area?
