Hi,

A friend has given me a redkite sling, does anyone have any experience of these or opinions on whether they are any good? I am not overly keen on slings after their bad press etc but am trying to keep an open mind!

Thanks.

I followed your link and by the looks of it you can wear it in a couple of different ways but looking at the actual sling I don't really see how!! Hmm!

It comes in 3 different sizes and the one I have is a medium.

Hmm.....

Any more help?!

I had one of these and LOVED it.

I used it mostly from about 4 months when DS2 sort of sat on my hip in it, but I couldn't really get the hang of the lying down newborn mode.

It was fantastic though, so light and comfy for DS2 and me. It spreads the weight out really well and was much nicer than the Baby Bjorn types.

It took two seconds to get him into it, once we had the hang of it and he loved it. It was so handy if I was just popping into a shop from the car as it was much quicker than getting the buggy out.

I had a medium and it was fine for me - I was size 12 at the time, and about 5'4"

Definitely hang onto it!

Thanks so much for all your help, I will hang on to it then and see if our baby and I like it!!

The same friend gave me a baby bjorn carrier (which I love, though many people on here seem to slate them....) and am wondering if it is OK to have them second hand, especially as they are £30 in the blooming marvellous sale at the moment!

Thanks.
