Is a Molby the best for a newborn ?

I will use the pram a lot too but like the idea of being able to have hands free for days out etc.
I've never got on with bag type slings and here there are some doubt of their safety anyway, are there any others I should look at/consider.

Do you mean a Moby? I love mine and would wholeheartedly recommend getting one. I didn't get on with a bag-type sling either.

I had a Kari-me, which is essentially the same. Loved it, as did ds, right from the start. He's 7.5 mo now, and still calms down as soon as I put him in it.

I have a Kari-me which is the same as a Moby. I love it so much, DD2 hasn't been in her pram yet as the wrap is just so convenient. She was a typical clingy newborn and I have a toddler too so having my hands free was invaluable.

I got a moby for dd (now 6 weeks old) and she loves it. There are loads of videos on youtube giving you helpful hints on putting it on/using it.

I had dd in it for 3 hours while I was walking in the woods at the weekend and I didn't have a twinge of back/shoulder ache - I was very impressed with it.

Hi there! just seen your post, Habbibu! yes, after all the mp trauma I had a beautiful daughter at the beginning of April.

My ds who's 10 is over the moon. dp and i are no longer together - he had 'outside interests' shall we say, but we are managing to stay friendly and I'm just enjoying the baby.

Infact I cannot fault their customer service, I had a teeny click in mine and mentioned it to them as a what should i dpo to prevent it getting worse thing. They contacted me asap to say that they had already sent a ne one with a stamped addressed envelope to return the other as anything they sent out to babies had to be perfect in every way. Yhey also instructed me not to make a special trip to the post office but whenever I was passing = a truely lovely company with the most lovely spoc wraps ever. Love them = I have the lightweight one for the summer, which if need be is soft enough to put dd in just wearing a vest.

Hi StraightsofWTF - I haven't heard back yet re: post-birth follow-up, but I'm assuming no news is good news. Not sure if I'll have to send off samples or if they just check the placenta and leave it there if all is ok.

honeydragon - I've just ordered one of those gorgeous mei tais from your website recommendation - I'm loving my moby but the mei tais look like they'll be easier to take on and off when I'm out and about - and the print panels look fab.

So glad I found this thread, even though it's cost me a fortune
