I use a Rose and Rebellion sling for my 20m DD, and would love to continue using it for our new arrival this spring. I know that you can buy a newborn insert for the Ergo, but what does it actually do? Can I carry a newborn in a SSC, and if so, how do I go about doing it? I have some ideas about swaddling it, or putting it in sideways or something like that- am I on the right track? Or will the newborn insert for the Ergo fit into my R&R?

the newborn insert is designed to take up some of the space in the Ergo because it 'wraps' more like hugs the baby.

have you seen this?

I have a newborn insert for an which I never used. you can have it for a £7 incl postage if you want to experiment.

since a R&R is designed more like a connecta, maybe you want to see this?

the step 2 it talks about is a strap/belt with a buckle. it goes around where the crotch of your baby will be and it cinches that part to make it narrow for use by a newborn. maybe if you look at the site or gallery there will be a picture of it.
