If I buy a BLACK wrap sling....

....will I regret it as the weather gets nicer?

Was thinking black for neutrality/DH-wearing purposes, but not if I have to go out and buy another colour. Or will I not be using a wrap in summer anyway? (Baby due in 2 weeks), any wisdom appreciated!

I would assume you're going to want to carry your DC in the summer - I found baby wearing addictive and found so many things easier with DD in a sling than in a buggy that I tended to carry her most places until she was walking (and I still carry her now at 2 1/2 if the need arises).

There are other fairly gender neutral colours out there. I started out with a sage green stretchy wrap (although DH was never really sold on the whole carrying concept till DD was too heavy for that one), and most manufacturers seem to do something in the olive/khaki range. DC2 is due in 3 months and I'm trying to work out whether to get something neutral again (I don't think my stretchy is up to another LO) or just suit myself...

I got a black Moby wrap and had to buy some fabric and make a cooler woven wrap just before we went on holiday as the poor thing would have cooked in the Moby.

Dd was a January baby and was so snug in her Moby during the winter though. If I could have afforded it I would have bought a Moby for the winter and a Calin Blue for the summer.

If you buy a black sling be sure to buy a lint roller too!

I assume you're talking about a stretchy wrap. If so, you needn't worry about the summer because they grow less comfortable after babies are around six months, and you'll want to move on to something else.

But you shouldn't have any trouble selling it on because they hold their value very well.
