Looking for an easy to use newborn infant carrier preferably not a sling that isnt too bulky and easy to pop on. Have tried slings before but never got the hang of it. Have the ergobaby omni 360 for when baby is a bit older

You could try the close caboo, Mamaruga zensling or Ergo embrace. Your local sling library will likely have them all available to try.

I had an older style ergobaby 360 which came with a newborn insert. Baby seemed very happy in it and we walked miles together .

I don't have these yet as I'm still pregnant but I'm considering the Ergobaby Embrace or Izmi Breeze carriers. Both for infants. I didn't enjoy the Close Caboo with my last baby as I prefer something structured where you just clip them in. There's youtube tutorials on how to put them on so you can see how simple/difficult they are.

Theres a Baby Wearing UK group on Facebook which is helpful for recommendations. Those ones seem highly recommended but I know there's plenty of others that won't be as supportive or get baby into such a good position.

I found the ergo baby 360 not as nice for a tiny newborn; I felt their legs were too confined. It's also a touch more faffy to put on (I mean, relatively speaking)!
But it's brilliant for a slightly older baby: super secure, really supportive waist belt (this is important) and is a bit bulkier so keeps them warm in winter.

This summer, for my little newborn baby, I've loved using a very minimalist byorn baby carrier. I throw it on, it's got two little buttons to do up, and the babies legs dangle down very naturally (like in a bouncer).
The main disadvantage of the byorn has been the lack of waist belt - so when walking for more than an hour, I could feel it pulling on my shoulders. But it's been great for slinging on for the play park.

Baby is now about 3 months old and I think I'm going to start using the Ergo baby 360 xx

We really liked the Ergobaby Embrace, it is a good mix between a wrap and a structured sling.

Is there a newborn insert for your Ergobaby? I had a different Ergobaby so it might be not an option but it was lovely for them from a few days old.

Yes, I used the newborn insert - it was okay, just a little more faffy and less nice than the Byorn, which was realllly easy for a new born.

I was v. lucky to have the options of both ergo and byorn. However, if I could only have one, I would have the Ergo baby as the byorn is only really suitable for the first few months

I had a close caboo because I couldn't get the hang of a full wrap sling. Once you've threaded the rings the first time it's pretty straightforward.

I also had an older style Ergobaby 360 which I loved for when they were older but didn't like it so much with the newborn insert.

I loved Close Caboo for first 3-4 months and then moved to a Tula, which was excellent.

I've got a LoveRadius physio2. It's brilliant, especially with the mesh panel in the summer and has really good head support. Way way better than the ergobaby. We still use it on trains and planes with the 2 year old
