Baby sleeping in sling too much?

Hi!

Im currently trying to find a balance with day time napping in the sling. My DD is 6 weeks and takes mammoths naps in the sling from morning until her afternoon feed and then afternoon until early evening feed. She can easily go 4+ hours and I’m having to wake her for a feed (sometimes 5 hours). She just sleeps so well in it but is very unsettled outside of it.

She has tongue tie (which we’re getting looked at next week) which means she inhales lots of air when she feeds which brings on a lot of trapped wind. She does go down in the crb at night but she’s only in a very light sleep as she thrashes about trying to get rid of her wind. Basically when she’s not sleeping she’s generally uncomfortable from
the wind and tends to cry if she’s awake if she’s not being fed.

im worried that she’s sleeping too much during the day but she seems so settled and is the only deep decent sleep she seems to get. I’m not sure if this is good for her though. My gut feeling is that she will sleep better during the day/ night once her tongue tie/ trapped wind has been resolved.

Not sure if anyone has any advice or had a similar experience?
