Carrier, ring sling or wrap for Breastfeeding?

Hi, I have the ergo360 which I thought was great for DD1 but with DC2 on the way I need different things from it. I've decided the only way I will get anything done and tend to both is by babywearing. My main requirement is I must be able to Breastfeed in it from birth. I found the 360 a bit awkward for feeding but could do it, though I think this will work better when baby is able to hold head up. I've been eyeing up the ring slings as it feels easier to adjust in terms of tightness. I don't mind the one side taking the weight... can't get around thst anyway when breastfeeding.

What are your experiences and any recommendations? Tips? Advice?

Thanks in advance! FlowersCake

IME the ring sling was best for breastfeeding while multitasking. I still needed one hand/forearm under the baby's head, but it wasn't taking any weight. I tried bfing in a wrap sling, but it never worked quite as well for me. I struggled with the wrapping - which may be a non-issue for you. I could see that it would work well, particularly with an older baby, if I just got the hang of the wrap. But I never did.

BTW, one of the best changes I made was to get my toddler used to sitting next to me on the sofa and holding the book on a cushion on their lap when I read to them (rather than sitting in my lap while I held the book). It meant that reading with Mummy did not change for them when dc2 arrived. We read a lot in those early weeks Grin

Hi @VaguelySensible

Thank you so much for your advice! Ring sling it is. I tried a wrap with DD1 but the knot was either too tight or a bit slack and that just got on my nerves because I'd near have to start all over. I like the idea of at least having one hand free. Grin

I have started with DD1 sitting with book so that's really helpful thank you. Sadly I do not have a comfy sofa Angry, but will set the bedroom up to be comfy for all. Smile

Thanks again!
