Best carrier for shoulders and upper back?

My four month old is around 14lbs and I find my neck, shoulders and upper back are sore after just a short while in my Baby bjorn original. Trying to decide whether to upgrade my baby bjorn or try a different make? Ergo, Boba, Tula...? TIA.

It sounds like you want a buckle style carrier? If at all possible it's best to go somewhere you can try a few different types out. Buckle carriers are a bit like jeans, what's comfy for one person isn't for another, so best to compare in person.

If you really can't compare in real life I think any of the properly supportive ones will be an improvement over the original baby Björn. The new ergonomic ones are better and I'd also look at Ergo, Boba, Connecta, Manduca and Tula. There's also a WAHM small business called Pouchlings who do lovely custom ones (she follows all safety standards).

Thanks for the advice. I would prefer buckle carrier, easy to use and understand. I will check WAHMS out.
