Just that really....

DD is 16 weeks and I really want to get her into a sling but I have no idea where to start! Any recommendations?

We bought Baby Bjorn when we visited a major baby items store out of town and selected a nice cosy padded one, years ago.
Prior to that i had been looking at the baby bjorn slings online already.
That sling proved to be a life saver as dd was a very clingy sensitive baby who wanted to be held a lot and i even at some point used to carry dd while doing housework in the house.
It's been a very reliable item.
Try it on and decide how wide the straps are, how padded it is, the adjustable positions etc. Then get the one feels the best. Some carry bigger weights more comfortably than others.
Congratulations by the way.

Do you have a sling library near you?

@DunnoWhy, brilliant, thank you!

@KiteMarked, I’m not sure - what is a sling library? I’ve never heard of one before but it sounds intriguing!

We all love our connecta. We’ve had a baby size one and have a toddler one now. Front and back carries, machine washable, very pretty patterns! Have a look at the TICKS guidelines online. Sling libraries are exactly that; advice and rentals and sometimes you can buy the one you like.

Hiring out a sling before purchasing is a really good idea; I for one can't get on with a Connecta at all but liked Tula a lot. Additionally, one of my DC loved a stretchy sling and another one hated it!!

Wow - a sling library sounds amazing - I never knew there were such helpful resources out there, thank you!

I’ll also look into the brands mentioned as I don’t think I’ve come across them yet and it seems like a bit of a minefield!!
