How to start a sing library?

Im not that great with slings (I love them, but dont have much knowledge yet lol) , but between me and a couple of friends we have probably bought every type of sling out there in the last few months, just because we cant get to the nearest sling meet! I am lending out a wrap and a BabaSling atm, it would be so good for the area if we could have our own library... So what would i need to do to get one started?

It might be more realistic to set up a sling meet rather than a library. There will be fairly high set-up costs for a library, for stock, storage, premises, insurance etc. I don't think you have to be a qualified babywearing consultant to set up a library but you would need to be very, very careful not to give out advice without professional indemnity insurance in case something happened while someone was carrying a baby under your guidance.

Maybe contact your local NCT branch for publicity and find a sympathetic venue where you can invite other parents to come with their slings, chat about them and try each others'.
