Calin bleu gauze or woven wrap?

Currently using a Kari me but DD almost 7kg so thought might move on to a woven wrap. Thought a Calin bleu could be good for summer but read they can be less easy to tie than woven wraps.

If anyone has any advice re how warm woven wraps get (find my stretchy wrap quite hot in warm weather but other than that we both love it and she spends hours in it on days when her brother isn't at nursery!) or experience of both types I'd be grateful for any advice

CB is beautifully light. I coped with a summer in a stretchy and am sure I could cope with a summer in a storch, but I'm v excited to be spending it in a CB instead.
I think CB would be quite an easy starter woven tbh - it doesn't take much breaking in, and the tails are really easy to tie because it's so thin. It can get a bit tuggy if you don't have each rail tightened right, but not awfully so and it's not such a steep learning curve.
The only drawback is that I'm fairly certain it won't last as long as a heftier woven - chunky 14mo is wonderful in it for now, but it doesn't feel as toddler-worthy as the storch.

I had a cb. I think if you're used to tying a wrap you won't agave any problems.

Thanks - it's sounding like a woven might have greater longevity - dd is 91st centile so this might be important for me. Wrt new or 2nd hand, is it lots better to get one that has already been broken in as I don't see many for sale and are and particular brands better?

Different brands and types suit different people. And on the broken in thing it depends on the type - Storchenwiege for instance are like cardboard new, but other brands can be soft straight from the box.

I'm in much your position, I've been using a Kari Me since week 2, and love it dearly.
DS is well over 7kg now, and we will be spending most of the summer in a hot country.

I'm now into my second week as the proud owner of a Calin Bleu wrap, which I am very very impressed with. I have just used it for a wedding weekend and lots of train travel in a hot country, and it is only mildly faffier than the Kari me, and i think that is just due to still getting used to it a bit. I also hired a beautiful Didymos sling, for the wedding part, but ended up not using it as it was far too hot, and I found it annoyingly bulky to handle.

Can you get to a sling library to try a few out? Hiring the didymos was ally helpful for me!
