I really need something to help me carry ds2 10mths (18lb).

I either carry him facing out or on my hip but my back and left hip are v v painful and the heavier he gets the worse it is it is also pulling my arm.

I need to be 'hands free' as well for when dd2 is at nursery as I have to stay with her.

Ds2 hates being put down anywhere he screams so I need a carrier where he can face outwards or sit on my hip.I had a normal one when he was younger but it was too much faffing about with clips etc and he wasn't comfy but I expect he's far too big for the stretchy moby ones??

Him facing out is probably exacerbating your back problems. When babies face out, their centre of gravity is further from you - which pulls on your back.

If you want him on your hip have a look at the Scootababy carrier - very quick and easy to put on but spreads the weight well.

Are you near a sling library or sling meet? If you can go and try something in person that would probably be useful.
