Hi there, does anyone know how old/ at what stage DD will need to be before I can use my BB with her facing forward?

It's not ideal to have a baby forward facing at any age as it will put pressure on her spine and can overstimulate her.

Read the instructions or google them if lost?

There is a lot of material online discussing the pros & cons of this kind of carrier. They can hold baby on an inadvisable position and ff is not recommended due to hip position etc.

hadn't realised it was so controversial! but thanks for the heads up - I will take a further look into it as I'd purchased this sling specifically because of all the great reviews. Thanks all.

and yes, it's easy enough to see what the instructions say Phineyj, but wanted to hear what people actually thought (think that's the point of these discussions?!)

She'll need to have good neck control before she can go forward facing.

From when they have good neck control. Around 3 months for mine. It was the only position DD1 approved of - all other slings she hated. Of course, I could only do short trips with her facing out, so definitely not an all day babywearing position.
