Due to an unfortunate incident I am now without my beco Gemini, so need to replace it... I think I would like to get an ergo instead as it looks more sturdy and I need it to cope with heavy baby/ toddler. I also found it really hard to get him on my back in the gemini- kept thinking i was gonna drop him!! Are there any others I haven't thought of that might be better?

Boba 2g or 3G. I've got both & the ergo & boba air for our 1 yr old twins who weigh over 21 lbs. they're string with strong clips & good support. I found the boba better than the ergo for over 4 he wear when u used it at the Olympics for 10 hrs. Some companies may let you try/rent before you .buy. Should last you til their 35-45lbs or 3-4 yrs

The Rose and Rebellion carriers are great, can be worn front or back and support up to 50lbs. They are on the pricey side though but seem to hold their value well second hand or you can buy slightly imperfect ones or ones on special offer via notices on their Facebook page.

I still use mine occasionally for my tall and heavy 2.5yr old!
