Stretchy wraps and winter weather

All you ladies with stretchy wrap slings - what do you do when it rains?! I know you can get covers for the rucksack type carriers, do they work for slings too? ( sorry am clueless! ) I guess you can put baby in a waterproof suit but the sling will still get soaked. And carrying a brolly is a pain, especially when the whole point of a sling is to be hands free!
And if it's cold, do you put the sling on over your coat ( bulky? ) or get an oversized coat and fasten round DC?
I have a sleepy wrap and a 16 week old DS if it's relevant!

big coat or rain poncho type thing!

I've got a rain cover and am hoping it'll fit over a wrap, I might need to get my sewing kit out but it looks like it just needs a button or a bit of Velcro.

I put my sling on under my coat, mainly so I can take my coat off if I get hot/go inside!

oh and wilkinet do a raincover for the wilkinet pretty sure it would work on other slings. always put my slings on under my coat so it was just the front that may get wet but generally i just wore a big coat.

Just a coat over the top, so sides/ bottom covered. I generally use an umbrella also as I don't want to get soaked either!
