Moby - worried about froggy legs and bruised feet in newborn!

Baby now just over a month old and we've been using Moby for the last three weeks, getting on really well.

But then yesterday I discovered purple bruises on the bottom of both of her feet. Could this be from the wrap?!

After noticing the bruises I put her in the wrap again later in the day and had a good look at her feet when they came out. There wasn't any new bruising, but her feet were quite red...

I'm now worried to 'froggy leg' position that the newborn hold is supposed to allow isn't a real froggy position as the feet have to be flexed, which might not be that comfortable... ?

I've really loved using the wrap til now so would be sad to stop, so if anyone has any advice on how to make the little feet a bit more comfortable much appreciated!

Oh, poor feet! How do either of you feel with putting her feet out, like an older baby? DS and I switched to feet-out at 6w and in hindsight I'd probably do it even earlier - newborn hold wasn't uncomfy but feet-out was far comfier, if that makes any sense. Some recommend feet out from birth anyway iirc.

Thanks needsadvice, I really feel like her feet should be out if she's getting crushed with them in, but worry there's some reason i don't know about that it's not safe/ correct positioning for a younger baby to go into an older hold... ?

You can put a baby feet-out from birth if you want to (am a babywearing consultant btw). Some German babywearing schools recommend feet-out from birth and don't recommend froggying at all.

Thanks pootle. Do you know what the logic is behind saying they shouldn't have legs out until a certain number of months (in moby booklet that came with wrap it said hug hold not suitable til later, but didn't say why... )TIA
