'preloved' stretchy wrap too stretchy?

this may be a really stupid question so be gentle with me if it is!!
i am new to the whole sling business but really want one for DS2 when he arrives. i went to speak to somone from a sling library and loved the look of the sleepy/boba wrap and maybe a connecta for later, however price wise i may look at getting a preloved one
i am wondering if as the fabric is stretchy would it be all stretched out by a bigger baby having used it before hand and not as safe?
any tips where to buy second hand if thats not the case

I don't know about that, but I'm assuming that as lots of people buy them it must be ok. Otherwise if you want a cheap stretchy wrap you could try Victoria Slinglady. I got one and really liked it. I'm using a connecta now though and love it!

I had a preloved moby wrap for dd and it was fine. I found it did stretch out a bit after lots and lots of use, but a quick wash and cool tumble dry made it shrink back down.

well i had a moby that i bought second hand and then used for a few children and my sister is now using for her ds and its been fine, ditto what definitemaybe said about a quick wash and tumble dry :)

Thank you! I had visions of it being a bit like an old pair of tights and the baby ending up round my knees!!! :)
Interesting you like the moby wrap I will look into them too as i originally like the sleepy/boba wrap
