Slings and breast feeding

Hi, I'm looking for some advice. I am preparing to go my first sling meet in 2 weeks. I'm sure I will get advice, but in preparation, I wonder what my options are for a sling I can breast feed in. DS is just over 3 months old and I am EBF. He is really long, over 26 inches! Are there slings that would be better suited to doing this or do the babies need to be smaller for this to work?

Thanks!

I breastfeed my 4.5 month old in my stretchy wrap sling which you can do with them in a lying down position or sitting upright. I prefer sitting upright as you just loosen the wrap and adjust baby down to height of breast and adjust back when finished (have seen this done with a two year old on youtube).

You can also feed in ring slings as longer babies feet can extend out of the sling. Pouch slings good for smaller babies and mei tei for older children who prefer upright position.

I fed in a stretchy wrap for the first few months, but as he's 3 months and large, you might be better off going for a soft structured carrier (Ergo/Manduca/Connecta) straightaway.

Thanks for your advice. I have a Melkaj on loan and I did manage to
walk and feed my son at the same time. I think he was pretty happy!
