just that, really - I had a section a week ago & wondered when it was usual to start using a sling. Ours is a baby who likes a lot of holding and it would be convenient!

when you feel like it!
I didn't before the 2 months mark, I found it impossible with the raw scar as the fabric was sitting on the scar itself but I had very heavy babies.

Also for healing purpose I would recommend to wait till 6 weeks, I know there are a lot of women who did things like heavy carrying and driving before completely healed but it is taking a risk.

It is major surgery rest and stay in bed/sofa with your baby.
congratulations!

I did within a couple of weeks. Like you say it is just like carrying a baby. Was recommended by hospital physio instead of pushing a pram.

You can tie high with a wrap or use a ring sling as soon as you feel up to it but it definitely wouldn't be advisable for long periods.

Enjoy snuggling up in bed for now :)
