Experienced Ergo Users - Advice on adjusting please !

Hi All

Just wondering where you should feel the weight when you are wearing it ?

My new Ergo Sport arrived today and I have been trying to get to grips with it but am not sure I am using it right. I am feeling the weight in my shoulders but would have thought this is not right ?

Ds is a fairly large (22lbs) 5 month old if that helps.

Any tips ?

You would expect most of the weight to go on your hips.

The waistband needs to be snug (not ridiculously tight, but a snug fit). I wear it kind of between my waist and hips. When you put him in, ensure that his bum goes all the way to the bottom of the front panel. Pull his knees upwards - which will then automatically pull them outwards, so that his bum is a little lower than his knees. When you pull the panel up, bounce him down in it by tugging the top edge repeatedly to ensure he is right down into it.

Shoulder straps shouldn't be loose, but not ridiculously tight either.

Thank you so much - that was really helpful, especially the bit about making sure his bottom is right at the bottom. It's made a world of difference !
