Can anyone suggest anything to carry my large 11 month old on my lap?

Can anyone suggest anything to carry my large 11 month old on my lap, while I use my hands to push the wheels of my wheelchair?
When he was a newborn, I could use a basic baby carrier (up to 9kg).
I want something to hold him safely attached to me, so he wont dive off my lap.

I'd like to add, obviously it will have to be on the front of my body, as I'm sitting in wheelchair.

would a wrap sling work?
