karri me fan but thinking of trying a woven wrap for back carrying

DD has just turned 1 and I usually carry her on my front facing in or out. Was thinking of trying back carry but dont want to use a stretchy. I tend to do short distances eg school run and need to put it on / get her in quite quickly... is this possible?
Also, really dont want to spned much and not ready to sell my karri me but there does not seem to be much on ebay in the way of woven wraps.
Thanks.
(BTW she is quite small/light and I am short but sturdy if that makes any difference)

Check out www.naturalmamas.co.uk for sale boards - much more choice than ebay. You'll likely find it much more comfy for front carries than a Kari-Me too. You can also post an 'ISO (in search of) on Natural Mamas e.g. looking for first woven wrap etc.

You should be able to get something around £40-ish. Pricier than a stretchy but will last until your little girl is much much heavier, and you should get back most of what you spend if you decide to sell it on because you don't get on with it.

There is a bit more of a learning curve with a woven, but once you get the knack it is perfectly feasible to do very quickly. Definitely get a woven rather than back carrying with a Kari-Me - it isn't suitable for back carries at all.

Are you near a sling meet or sling library? www.slingmeet.co.uk If so you could go along to have someone help you learn to use it, or if near a library you could always hire one to work out if it will work for you.

That's great thanks. I'll have a look at that website.
