Coolest sling/wrap suitable for a newborn?

I am looking for a sling for DC4 due in April, I want to use it round the house mostly as DC3 will be 16mo so will need my hands free.
I have never had much sling success in the past, partly to back/hip/SPD problems. Mostly due to getting so hot!
I had a wilkinet for DC2 born in August which was comfy but only once the Autumn chill came, it was unbearable in September.

Have had a quick google and there doesn't seem to be any sling meet or library near me so I am relying on good old MN wisdom.

TIA

Bump, am wondering if people think I mean cool as in fashionable and I sound a bit daft!

A couple of options:

If you like buckles, then the Solarweave Connecta. It is lightweight and can be used from newborn, but will last a reasonable while. Their normal fabric isn't too hot as it is quite a light carrier, but solarweave is specifically designed for warm weather - it is kind of airy. You can wear it front and back. www.connectababycarrier.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=101&products_id=299 The downside is that in the middle of winter you'll have to dress your baby in more clothes to keep him/her warm!

If you fancy a wrap, then either a gauze wrap (e.g. Calin Bleu gauze), or a very lightweight thin woven wrap (a thin Didymos linen indio for example, like red/ivory or cobalt/rouge), or for a stretchy wrap then the Wrapsody Stretch is the coolest I've tried.

I live in the tropics and swore by my Calin bleu gauze. Limited lifespan but I've passed it on to another friend here for her newborn.

I have a connecta for DS (8 weeks) and it's great!

Thanks for replying all.

I don't know if I like buckles or not have tried a horrid tommee tippee thing, the wilkinet and a peanut shell. I like the look of the connecta though.

Have not tried a wrap, though they do look nice and snuggly.

I also have a bobawrap - it's very snugly!

Another vote for the Connecta. I got one when we lived in Madrid. Also, the Calin Bleu gauze wrap (short version) was great too - including in summer.
