Safe position for 6 weeks

I have a 6 week DD and have been using the Kari Me with her in the cradle position . I have been looking through these posts and am confused to the best position . In the cradle position , her spine isn't completely straight like it is when she is lying down , and her legs are also close together . Is it better to use the position as if she is sitting ? I was worried about head support and spine pressure .

I prefer a tummy to tummy upright carry for safety.

To be honest in a cradle position a newborn won't be completely flat as their spines are quite curved naturally when they're tiny. But it can be hard to know whether they are too curled up if you see what I mean.

The fabric supports all around them, and so it holds their spine in that same slightly curved position and spreads the weight even when upright (unlike say a bjorn which puts pressure on the base of the spine).

There are some guidelines on safe positioning here which might help: www.greenjellyshop.co.uk/baby-carrier-safety/info_28.html
