what to use before DS big enough for Ergo?

Hello - would really appreciate some tips from baby-wearing pros.
My DS is 10 weeks & massive - he's starting to droop in the Moby and generally act as though he's too confined. We have an Ergo, which DD loved, but his legs won't be able to go wide enough for a good few months yet, I reckon.
Can anyone suggest a SSC that would work from say 3-6 months - without a newborn insert or anything. Or should I get a BabyBjorn Comfort?
Please guide me ... Really need something he can be comfy in round the house while I'm looking after DD. Thanks!

You could try a woven wrap, it's the same principle as the Moby but much more supportive. I wouldn't get a Bjorn tbh as for the same money, a woven will last as long as the Ergo whereas the Bjorn will be quickly outgrown and uncomfortable.

Could you get the infant insert for the ergo?

woven wrap - good thought. and would be better come the summer too..
we borrowed an insert and it sort of worked when he was titchy, but it's too swaddling if you see what I mean - and the whole thing is a bit bulky.
thanks!

Instead of the insert, you could try a rolled up handtowel or muslin or something in the bottom of the ergo. It makes a support that stops their legs being spread too wide but doesn't have the bulky swaddly thing that the insert has going on (not an ergo insert fan!) That might work whilst he's inbetween-ish.

I love woven wraps. If you find something at a reasonable price on ebay or natural mamas for sale boards you can probably sell on later if you find you prefer the ergo. Or you might just fall in love with woven wraps instead!

It's a bit of a different knack to tying a Moby so if you're near a sling meet or sling library it might be worth popping along for some tips.
