Close Baby Carrier - slouching, help please!

Hi all

I bought the above sling/carrier yesterday and when I first put it on it was just so comfortable, much more so than my baby bjorn. However, everytime I put my 6 week old in there she slouches, not something I see her do in the baby bjorn. I have been trying to adjust her, putting her in and out but with no success.

I would love to be able to use this as I find it so much more comfortable due to the weight being more evenly spread across my shoulders than the other carrier, but will not be able to do so unless I can figure out how to correct the slouching.

Any advise on how to correct this would be much appreciated, otherwise I am stuck with the one in which she sits better in but which is less comfortable for me.

Many thanks in advance.

I'm not an expert but do us a Close on my 6mth old (and have done since he was around 3mths) - have you tried tightening it slightly via the loops? - pull the fabric down through them - the baby should have his head so you can kiss their forehead. It does take a bit of practice to use it (try putting it on in front of a mirror) and often needs re-adjusting if its worn by someone else.

Good luck

Thanks both, I will tighten it further. Pls could I ask advise on one morething? DD is only 6 weeks old, do u think its ok to use with her? Only asking because it does not have any headsupport. Do u think the v shape gives sufficient support?

Another yes - I used a calin bleu on DS2 from about 2 weeks - the CB is almost identical in carrying design I only swapped to the Close because I am hopeless at wrapping the CB (and both were lent to me). I would say that it does take a few wears out to feel confident but it does happen. I've found both a godsend especially when shopping in town - so much easier than a pram and DS2 was so much more settled.
