Have a gift voucher for m + p and need a sling. I am interested in 3:

First GO
2GO
morph

I already have a calin gauze wrap that is too fussy for me, so would like one that's easy and supportive. I am 5'8" and DD is 7 weeks.

Any experience good or bad of these?

Wilkinet is the only sling I'd recommend.

I tried loads, and this was the best by far.

It seems faffy at first but once you know how to do it it's literally sling baby on and go..

loopymumsy yes, I agree about the M&P stuff, seems very much about style (everything seems to be in shades of beige, cream and grey!).

But I have the voucher and I want a very simple sling.

I there anything specific about the Connecta and the Wilkinet that make them better than others? Is the Connecta different from the MaiTai?

I live in rural remote area so no slingmeets, unfortunately.

Thanks

I agree with Loopymumsy that the U-Go would be the only one I'd use.

The First Go is just bizarre Confused and the other two are very similar to a Baby Bjorn style carrier where the baby is just hanging off your front. Not very comfy for you. And they both have very narrow seats for the baby, not supporting them across their backs and bottoms all the way from knee to knee. You can see from the picture sthat baby is hanging straight down off the "parents" body, not hugged round them.

The U-Go will be easier to use that your Calin Bleu as it's stretchy wrap that you tie around yourself first, and then pop baby in. Easier to start off with than a woven for a newbie babywearer. We started with a Moby wrap, which is basically the same thing.

thanks for that, I tried and failed to find some instructions on the web for how you put a U-Go on to see if it was too fiddly for us, but I can't find any. Also can only find one review (well, passing comment really) which was favourable but that it couldn't take a heavier baby.

Ok, advice heeded - will either go for the U-Go or go for a different brand like a Moby.

Frankly I couldn't find anything I actually wanted on the M+P website as all the practical items like high chair and pram are severely criticised in most reviews.

Still, a £50 voucher is a very generous gift and I would like to spend it on something useful. Thanks again.
