Slings for a curious baby

Have a barely 7 month DD who is very keen to see and touch the world. She's already cruising to give some idea of her mobility.

We currently have a kari-me, but she likes to get her arms out of it, which then means you need to have a hand on her back to stop her falling back. Obviously this defeats the hands-free component of slings.

Was thinking we could do with a sling that has straps that go up and over the neck.

DH has a dodgy back and is already starting to struggle with her weight (she's 6.5kg so not a big one at all) so am after one that distributes the weight well.

Any ideas?

If she's leaning out of the Kari-me, it might be worth moving on to a woven wrap as this will keep her a lot more secure.

My 15 month old is generally arms out, and can lean and twist to her hearts content but isn't going anywhere!

In the meantime, make sure the Kari-me is nice and tight, and that the horizontal panel is high up on her back up to arm pit level.

My DD went hands out in our Moby when she was smaller, but she still seemed secure enough as long as that back panel was high up.

thanks, only just seen this

we can never work out how to get the back panel to stay up so will look up a woven.
