Hi,

Pregnant with DC2 due in May and thinking of getting a sling, maybe a ring sling. Hoping to bf more successfully this time and wanted some recommendations for slings that you can also feed in?

Thanks.

Maya ring sling is great and I am still using it every day (DS is now 16 months).

I also had a Babasling, which was excellent when he was tiny and you can feed in it.

I'm really thinking in particular of something for the newborn stage as I have an ergo type thing (can't for the life of me remember the name now, it's not an ergo, but like one) but I know it doesn't lend itself to feeding in.
How do you put the babasling on? Is it easier than the Maya?

I agree with 'thedudesmummy' the BabaSling is brilliant, found all sorts of videos on youtube to help with putting the BabaSling on, shows some really good ones for bf - really discreet.

I found mei tais and soft structured carriers great for a slightly older baby. I slightly preferred MTs, but SSCs were much easier to adjust underneath winter coats :o

I finally got the knack of BF in a ring sling when DD was 4 months old, and at that stage, it was better than nothing but I always had to have one hand supporting her - which was a bit of a nuisance. So although I was very grateful for the RS, at that stage it was better to have an Asian-style carrier.

Going to have to figure it out for a newborn though - no idea there - watching this thread with interest - good luck! :)
