Sling user - soft carrycot options

I am planning on using a sling for my 2 week old when we are out and about pushing his 2 year old brother in the pushchair. We have buggy board, trike options but the only way to get further is with my toddlers pushchair.

Thing is I'd really like to have somewhere to put the little one down when he's out of the sling. Has anyone used any colapsible soft carry cot options? Not a long term sleeping option just a place for one we are doing toddler activities etc.

Do you mean for when you're out and about?

I'm not sure what sort of activities you're planning that you would need to take the baby out of the sling. They really are very portable when they are that size.

Yes if we go to toddler activities I'd like to leave him asleep flat in the corner in something like a soft carry cot.

To be honest, I've never heard of anyone doing that. I'd be more inclined to cut down on the clutter I'm carrying about by popping the baby into a back carry while helping the toddler with the activities.

Do you mean something like the phil and ted's cocoon, thats soft sides folds pretty flat, I have been known to shove it under DD2's single buggy and carry DS in the sling.

its kind of nice to have the carrycot to put him in, usually I'm going to my mum's. the P&T cacoons are pretty cheap as well second hand.

I have been know to put DS in the carrycot on the table at the coffee shop so DD2 can be put in the proper seat of the P&T so its reclined fully when she falls asleep (DD2 is only just 1)I usually stuff my second seat unit under the pram as well, not in toddler mode just stuffed under lol
