Best sling for heavy five month old

What is the best sling to go for for my really rather hefty five-month old? He loves the baby bjorn especially facing out but its back-breakingly heavy! Id like something which isn't complicated to get on and which will allow me to use it in different positions. I have tried looking at lots of different slings but the choice is making my brain hurt!

a mei tai? connecta?

A connecta - but you wouldn't be able to put him on your front facing outwards - would have to be tummy-to-tummy, this will still feel lighter than with the baby bjorn as he will be leaning into you rahter than away from you - you could put him on your back though if he really needs to look forwards, it's ok to do back carries at that age and you will notice a real difference weight-wise, it's much less hard work than lugging a heavy baby around on your front

Have used connectas for both my children, the younger one is much much heftier than his brother was at the same age and we are still managing alright with a front carry although for limited time only!

I got a Yamo sling for my heavy 5m girl, it's a soft structured carrier (with clips so no tying up required Wink). The Tomy front carrier I had became an instrument of torture for both of us. I can't believe how comfortable a decent sling is compared to a carrier, because you can adjust the straps so easily and get them in really close to you they feel much lighter.
The Yamo also has a really nice padded waist band.
I got my from slingjax and had a 2 week hire to test it out and decided to keep it. They were very helpful.
Someone else on here also recommended Petit Poppet - they do a 5 day hire and the money goes to charity but I didn't feel that 5 days was long enough to test it out properly but it was them that put me on to the Yamo so also very helpful.

My DS is 18lbs and both of us love the Moby. I had to quit the Baby Bjorn a while ago because it hurt my back but the Moby gives great back support.
