Mamas and Papas Customer Care

Currently entering 36th minute on hold for Mamas and Papas "Customer Care" (that does not include the 25 minute attempt this morning) chasing after a bought-and-paid-for sling that has failed to materialise -- should I take this personally or is this par for the course?

M&P customer care is APPALLING!

Bought stuff there when I was pg with DS 5 years ago. Never again. Products are mostly overpriced and more practical alternatives are available elsewhere far cheaper.

Thanks--won't be bothering them with my clearly irritating custom again. Turns out they forgot to let me know at the point of of taking my money that they don't actually have the sling in stock, ergo they cannot deliver.

I did two lots of 40 minutes to get a response as to why the sling I bought for them was faulty, and whether it was just mine or a fault.

They told me it was none of my business and indicated quite frankly that they did not give a toss if it could cause serious damge to babies. Arseholes.

I actually like their prams and have discovered over they years that the only time they have good customer service is if you have money in your hand

eg

Me: "hi I have your product it is still under warrantey but this part is broke and I need it fixed replaced"

M&P:"fuck you, fuck your warranty and fuck off .... we MIGHT get back to you when hell freezes over, but only to tell you how little we care. In fact you will have to call us a further 82 times to even get your statatory rights as a consumer considered...ha ha ha."

yet also

Me: "hi I've bought such and such a product, no its no longer under wanrranty but I would really like such and such a part"

M&P "oooh no problem, we have several. What colour would you like? The Blue? Ok that is £several zillion pounds please. Thankyou for your custom"

So as a result of that I once tried to trick them with ...

Me: "hi I've bought such and such a product, no its no longer under wanrranty but I would really like such and such a part"

M&P "oooh no problem, we have several. What colour would you like? The Pink? Ok that is £several zillion pounds please.

Me: "Actually it is under warranty, here's the info...."

M&P "Fuck off Honeydragon, come back when you have some money or call this no. and wait on hold until your prodct has rusted and withered away or the warranty is void...its not worth the paper it is written on"

PMSL honeydragon

About 4 years ago, I wrote them a 3 page ranting letter. They really are a terrible company.

Ugh, I agree. Appalling customer service. I was put through to a store once when they lost something I'd ordered, and they forgot to put me on hold and I could hear them ranting about "How did she get this number??? etc etc" - I'm trying to find replacement mattresses to go with mamas and papas cot and moses basket as I have vowed never to buy anything from them again they are such gits.
