I've got a Connecta which a plan to use after a short while but I can't see how I'm going to be able to BF in it (or any sling!). I'll have a 20 mo so need to be hands free as much as possible. Does anyone have any suggestions please?

I've seen babies from 6 weeks to 2+ yrs breastfeed in a Connecta. You loosen the shoulder straps some so that baby's head drop to breast height.

I have done the same with in a woven wrap with them in a sitting position.

A stretchy wrap which is good if you have never used wraps before and which are ideal for new babies can also put them in a cradle hold and breastfeed easily while doing the shopping, taking toddler out and about or doing household tasks. this leaflet shows how it is done. if you search youtube, the same company has the leaflet as a video too.

I can't breastfeed in wraps/mei tais/SSCs at all (think it might be a combo of having long babies and me being short-bodied). But I can bf in a ring sling- I just loosen the rings, adjust baby into a cradle hold and latch on, then tighten again. The tail of the sling can be used as a cover if necessary. After a feed I just re-adjust to an upright tummy-to-tummy position again for winding/sleeping.

I have no idea how I would manage without it- and my age gap is 2.5 years!
