Slimming World

Rejoining

Hi everyone.

I am about to rejoin slimming world after 2 years away. I don’t feel ready to go to class so was going to join online so I get the books and the app. I downloaded the app to see if my login still worked as I wasn’t sure if I would be able to use the same email address. I’ve found the app in full working order despite not paying or attending since lockdown started?! I didn’t even think it would let me login. There is an option to switch account to online via the app but would I still get the books? Can’t seem to find info on it. Failing that I suppose I could use my husbands email and start from scratch.

Thanks 😊

Do you still have your old books? Nothing has really changed as far as I know. Re the app, can you still add to the planner?

Hi, yeah everything worlds it’s so strange. I can’t find my books anywhere which makes me think I have binned them when going cleaning crazy during lockdown. The books are just really needed for the a and b choices aren’t they? I found those online last night so I could do my shopping 😂 thanks for replying 😊

The app will Chuck you off after 5-7 days, it gives you a bit of leeway in case you have rejoined and the paperwork hasn’t caught up

There has also been a couple of mega changes Grin biggest is you get a whole extra HE A (so double milk/cheese) and flavoured yet fat free yoghurts - mullers and suchlike are some syns

Ah right that’s cool. It’s been really useful actually because I was able to use it to do my shopping and then can join tomo morn for my fresh start! My shopping all arrives tonight. Just hope I can do the online without the class, my dad is going to do my weigh in for me coz I think I still need the pressure of getting a weigh in with someone else lol Thanks for the info much appreciated ☺️

No worries! I am starting again tomorrow so I’ve done exactly the same, its a great starting boost but just wanted to warn you it sadly doesn’t last. Which online plan are you going with? I’m not able to get to the classes as my ds just doesn’t settle to bed without me- plus it all gets a little happy clappy!

Aw good luck! It’s so hard when you have children to work around too and although so many choices of classes it’s easy to be like oh I can’t manage this week and fall off the wagon. Yeah I always felt the classes were like AA for weight loss 😂 but then the pressure of weigh in sometimes helps you cut back on a bad day/week. I’m going to get the bronze I did think about the with magazines but the likely hood that I will read then is slim! I’m not long out of hospital and on steroids so although I’ve been heavy for a good few years I’m really self conscious just now of my massive moon face and acne so finding it hard to look people in the eye 😂 I’ve got 4 weeks to go so hoping that if I start with this I may feel more comfortable going to class. I really need to do this I’m going to be 38 this year and am desperate to go back and try with my last embryo 🤞🏻

Oh super fingers crossed here! Hopefully it’s the lucky last- and start putting on weight for a wonderful reason! Slimming world is the best thing because it’s real food and always sets me back on a path of cooking decent food rather than relying on takeaway and microwave meals

Haha yeah! Wouldn’t mind that at all! That’s so true it definitely does. I find I purchase all the ingredients I wouldn’t normally like spices and herbs it really does make you cook better meals. They taste better than takeaways too but when you are tired and busy it’s the convenience. Many years ago when I was most successful I took a smaller portion of my dinner from the night before for lunch and worked a treat. Hoping to get back into some good habits. Good luck with day 1 tomo 🤞🏻

Thanks! Good luck too- just so you know there’s an offer on when you get silver for the price of bronze if you put a code in… something like besthealthydeal but google it!
