Just that really, fancy soup for tea but I know it won't fill me for long and certainly not DH, so what can I have with it. Oh and what's your best SW soup recipe please.

Serve it with SW chips and dunk them in the soup. Or roast potatoes. Otherwise you could use your B choice and have a sandwich on the side?

Imtoooldforallthis · 18/10/2021 09:14

Chips is a good one thank you.

Put pasta/noodles or root veg in the soup.

Onaloop · 19/10/2021 14:38

I'd either add beans or lentils or some cheese on toast on the side

DaphneDeloresMoorhead · 16/11/2021 19:57

Put ditali pasta or orzo in the soup
Shredded meat in the soup
Schar gluten free ciabatta rolls are a HEB and really good IMHO

GinGinItsAWonderfulThing · 17/11/2021 10:33

These are great ideas, I love soup but feel like I can't eat it without something on the side, and i'm not a fan of WM bread. Will find those gluten free rolls.

OOOH wonder if i could turn them into croutons?!

Baked potato

LemonKitten · 19/11/2021 07:48

I make potato skins - baked potatoes, scoop out flesh, mix with cooked onions, bacon and garlic, back into skin, top with HEA of cheese and grill - in fact, we often have the potato skins as a meal on their own without the soup!

Cheese scones, with ham on the side

Manzana · 19/11/2021 08:17

if you are making a chunky soup put small fried cubes of halloumi and mixed seeds on top, really delicious, adding flavour and texture

Sandwich using b choice.
Jacket potato.
Toast with cheese, or peanut butter for syns.

Geggs · 29/11/2021 21:26

Ham with lentil or veg soups, and chicken with any spicy kind of soup. I shred it on top.

BigRedBoat · 29/11/2021 22:34

Cheese toastie

NeedsCharging · 29/11/2021 22:36

American style toasted cheese sandwich.
Quite filling on their own even more so with soup.

immersivereader · 29/11/2021 22:37

Cottage cheese on the side with some salad

ericaelizabethjayne · 30/12/2021 11:26

Great ideas! I've just rejoined for a month online and am looking forward to getting stuck in 🤞

OrinoccoFlew · 02/01/2022 12:50

I put potato or pasta in to thicken it up and it fills me up a treat

MrsWobbleTheWaitressIsTired · 02/01/2022 14:03

I was about to ask the same thing! I made soup last night and added lentils but I still wanted bread with it. I don't like the sand which things.

I'm also confused cause when I did sw before (2017) I'm sure potatoes were limited. I am so confused! Any and all ideas welcome.

Oh, am veggie.

Wecouldbesohappybaby · 06/01/2022 23:42

I'm new to SW as of Tuesday Smile I made their carrot, lentil and coriander soup which was a bit bland until I added loads of fresh lime juice and upped the fresh coriander. The recipe on the site gives 4 good lunch portions which I've been eating with my HEXB black pepper ryvita. Surprisingly filling Grin
