I'm seeing great results combining these two plans and wondering if anyone else was doing the same? Basically the kitchen is closed from 8pm til 12 noon. Only black tea, black coffee, herbal teas and water allowed. No zero xal drinks no milk in tea etc. After 12 noon and til 8pm I'm finding it so easy to stick to Food Optimising, I'm eating less and feeling fuller much quicker and 3 lbs down in5 days!!! anyone want to join?

I am loving it! I'm back in target and staying there easily. Interestingly I'm no longer focusing on A's and B's. Not consciously there just is less time between 12 and 8 I guess. My skin is looking great and the dark circles under my eyes are noticeably improved and I'm sleeping better. It's a total win win for me. I have one day a week where I ease off a bit either eating earlier or later but not both

That's great news @InfiniteSheldon! Well done!

I feel confident that I can lose weight with SW now that I am doing 16:8 alongside it. I haven't properly started SW yet as I had a vegan toad in the hole to use up (17 syns!) and wasn't completely prepared but otherwise stuck to the rules and 16:8. I CC today because of the high syns (I had 28 in total!) came in at 1400 kcals, so not bad.

Looking forward to ditching the CC tomorrow and doing this properly!

I would struggle to wait until 12 before eating anything. is there an easier way?

I wouldn't go straight to 16:8 @britNscotland - ease yourself on.

Start by moving breakfast 1 hr later, when you are comfortable with that move it another hour until you get where you want to be. You honestly can train your body to get used to it and have no/very little hunger. I couldn't do it quite like that due to set break times at work but you get the idea.

You can do your 8 hour window whenever you want. I personally prefer it later in the day as I can tolerate being 'empty' during the day but not when I'm trying to get to sleep. I've done 1.30 - 9.30 before but I'm trying to stop eating by 8/8.30 now. I'm still playing with it really. When I am comfortable with it I hope to be able to do a 24 hr (dinner-dinner) fast every week...we'll see!
