Weekends are my biggest downfall and my parents have already called and said they want to pop over to see the children but offered to get fish & chips as a treat for us all. So I offered to make a fish dish which I modified to make SlimmingWorld friendly so hopefully o can get away with staying on plan

@scrambledeggs01 if I end up having to have a chippy tea, I get a large fish, strip off the batter so I don't eat it and have it with baked beans. Better than cooking Grin

My first proper weigh in today after joining last Friday. I'm actually quite nervous and I've not weighed myself this week at all. I can't use my scales as I end up being obsessed with them, and if I see a gain one day I get all disheartened and fall off plan. I'll come back here and post my weigh in later

5.5lbs off for my first week. I'm so relieved 😅

Can I join please? Started for the first time at SW on Tuesday night.
Day 1 (Weds) went ok but used the full 25 syns.
Day 2 (Thurs) not so good - used 17!syns as I'd forgotten that fresh pasta isn't 'free' - doh!
Today, just had a 'free' lunch of last nights pasta bolognaise with dried pasta.

Well done to those who've lost. Can I ask do you watch your portion sizes? It seems to good to be true to be having a large plate of pasta and bolognaise! I don't think I've lost anything so far either so might be doing something wrong?

@Lightsabre I find dishing up my speed food first, then pasta and the good stuff. Felt odd having spag Bol or curry with veg but it's fine once you get used to it. Or I put more than normal veg into the dish to bulk it out

Thanks TheReef. I think I'm eating too much - far more than I normally do. For eg I had the sausage pasta SW ready meal with veg and it was huge. I felt really full and a bit bloated afterwards. Plus extra fruit etc. Weigh in tonight but my scales say I've put 2lbs on! Will be embarrassing weighing that when everyone else will have probably lost 4-5 lbs.
I'm still going to go though but I think I have to just have small plate sizes which will defeat the object of 'normal' eating.

@Lightsabre my consultant said that even though sw works, it's stil still calories based. Mullerlite yogurts used to be feee, but some people were eating up to 10 a day (2 with breakfast, 1 per meal, the rest during the day as snacks), but if course they still have nearly 100 calories per pot, so that person was eating 1000 calories a day in yogurts alone. It's also the reason smoothies need to be syned, as you can over eat fruit as a result

I goes that's why they say 1/3 of your plate should be veg (or speed fruits)
