Rejoining SW

Hello,

Wondering if any of you can help please. I’ve previously joined slimming world a few times but well over a year ago now. I want to rejoin next week and want to get a few bits and bobs in. I know there have been quite a few sins added to things that were previously free such as Mug Shots and Muller Lights for example. Can anyone advise please if this is correct and any other changes to the plan? Thank you in advance, Kerry x

Your post says it all about SW...."now have sins but were previously free" what an absolute load of nonsense.
Download myfitnesspal, track your food, enjoy the things you enjoy but in moderation and track them. Find your maintenance calories, eat 15% below it and you will lose weight.
Be accountable for yourself ! It will get to the point where you can mentally calculate the rough calories in foods.
Your relation to the ground is irrelevant , it's not scale victories you're looking for, it's body composition, instead of getting on the scales take a picture every few weeks, if you look better great it's working, if you're not then eat slightly less and move more.

How much would all the above cost you? ......£0.00

All for free....

Thanks for responding to my post. I have to say I completely agree with you, it’s certainly given me something to think about!

There's been a few changes. The SP plan has changed. But the main change is the extra daily A choice.

Things like mugshots, pasta in sauces, all flavoured yoghurts now have syns.

I'm re joining on Thursday

I tried my fitness pal but I do much better with the accountability of a group and weekly weigh ins

I'm going to do it for 12 weeks and hoping to lose 1 1/2 stone in that time

I lost 3 stone before but stopped 2 years ago, proud that I've maintained that but I'm in the mind frame now where I think I'm ready to get back on it

There's 12 weeks until the summer holidays start so perfect motivation for me as I'm fed up of not keeping up with the kids 🙈

NY53 - If it was that easy to have self motivation then no one would be overweight any more!

I find that at £4.95 a week SW is a cost effective way of losing weight. I do need the support of a group. My group leader even texts me if I miss a week and encourages me to carry on and come to group the week after.

Puglover - Mugshots and flavoured yoghurts have syns, and now you can have 2 healthy extra A and 1 B per day.

If you genuinely want to lose the fat you will be accountable for yourself and have the motivation, we're not kids at the end of the day.

People like going to slimming world because it's a group thing and they enjoy that social aspect but slimming world are a business and businesses need to make money, their way of dieting isn't sustainable (for most ) and they will change things at the drop of a hat to make money.

raisinsraisins · 03/05/2019 08:37

NT53 - Today I’m having scrambled eggs and mushrooms on granary toast for breakfast, tuna salad for lunch, chicken with veg and rice for dinner. Snacks will be yoghurt, veg, fruit, cheese etc.

Why is this diet not going to be sustainable? This is healthy and what I should be eating, I’m not depriving myself of any types of food and don’t go hungry.

Surely most people at Slimming world are those people who find eating less food really challenging for many reasons and that’s why they need the support of a group. That is why a lot will fail when they leave group even though they will know how to eat healthily. A person with very strong self discipline around food will not need to go to Slimming world, and may be less likely to fail in their long term diet.
