I’ve been yo yoing in weight over the last 8 years and really need to bite the bullet and 2 stone. Can I follow the plan by online membership only and mags for recipes?
I really don’t want to go to the group meeting!!

Come over to the support thread. We can be your "group". I have had friends who are successful online.

Thanks Groovee! would love that! So as I’ve not got a mag yet any chance that someone could give me the basic plan in a nutshell? Lots of fruit and veg? Low carbs? Low dairy intake? Thanks so much!

Your meat, fish, pasta, quorn, rice, noodles, potatoes are free. Fruit and veg is free. Yoghurts like Lidl's skyr, light and free are free too.

Cheese and milk are measured.
Cereal bread etc is measured.

Crisps, wine, sweets etc are your syns. You are allowed 5-15 a day if you weigh under 16 stone.

OhCobblers - did you join? I'm having a look online now and thinking of going for it. It annoys me that I have to pay for something like this, but I'm not succeeding in moderating calorie intake myself. My biggest struggle will be alcohol and crisps. And I end up eating whatever's around due to lack of time to plan properly which means I'm not eating as wisely as I could.

For those who have done it - does it provide meal plans based on your requirements?

Thanks!

If you can try a group please do because the support you get from them is amazing if i have a good week they cheer me if I've had a bad week they help me kick start my week and never put me down

Pinch of Nom do meal planners if you need help. But group and online don't.

My Sister in Law has lost 7 stone going it alone... not even online. Just following the plan from when she had it before 😊

I follow online and what helps me is the weight loss planner. You can track everything you eat including HEA & B's, free foods and syns. This tool lists quite a good database of foods and it really helps me pick which healthy extra I'm going to use. You can even complete it in advance if you are a meal planner type of person.

They have now added the activity tracker so you can work towards your body magic goals.

I can't say enough good things about this tool because I find it easy, quick to use and follow. I've even saved the web page as a shortcut on my iPhone homepage. Easy access makes it easier for me to use.

Why don't you want to go to the group meeting? No one has asked yet.
Yes it's a bit happy flappy but having gone it alone on other diets, it never lasts. I have found some great hints and tips from other group members and we all spur each other on.

Yes it's a fiver a week, but once you reach your goal it's free for life if you are within 3lbs either way of your target. You also get the books, app and website access.

I did it alone last year and lost 4 stone. Just pon, fb, and holding myself accountable.

I couldn't go to group and didn't want to pay for online when there is so much supporting there

SugarMiceInTheRain · 02/05/2018 22:54

My DH did it without going to group or online because SILs were doing it and constantly talking about it so he knew all the principles and followed it on his own, weighing himself regularly and keeping track of his progress on the Wii fit. He lost 5.5 stone and has kept it off for the past 5 years.
