How much did you lose in your first week if you only had about a stone to lose?

Just that!

I've set myself a target to lose 1st so I'm not massively overweight. I've heard that some people have lost half a stone in their first week! Am I right I'm thinking it may not come off as fast as that if I don't have masses to lose?

I think it’s unlikely that you would lose that much in your first week. I only had a stone to lose and it took me three months, losing about a pound a week. First week was one and a half pounds.
Am very pleased to have lost the weight though. Although it doesn’t seem a lot it has made a huge difference to me.

@Greenteandchives Thanks for replying. It's my first weigh in on Thursday night so wanted a rough idea of what to expect. I've stuck to plan 100% so far and feel better in myself but don't feel like I've lost any thing yet. I just don't want to feel disappointed when others have a big loss in their first week. Well done in your weight loss! A stone makes a huge difference if you've not got a lot to lose.

I have 1 stone to lose. First weigh in was last week and I lost 2.5 pounds. Very pleased. Not sure re this week tho

outsetisland · 23/01/2018 20:32

I have roughly a stone to lose and I lost 6lbs in week one, gained 1lb week two, lost 2lb week 3 and I'm currently in week 4. I did sw last year but had more to lose, my first loss was roughly the same as this time. My sister also has roughly a stone to lose and lost 3.5lbs on the first week.

runawayfund · 23/01/2018 20:40

@Popsythe1st Wow is be more than happy with 2.5lbs! Well done!

@outsetisland That's amazing! So it can be done then?

I've heard of some people getting their half stone award in their first week Shock

I think if I've lost at least 1.5lb I'll be happy. I definitely don't feel like I've lost anything yet but I'm only on day 4. All the fruit and veg is a shock to my system. I'm going to the toilet about 3x a day! I'd normally not eat any fruit or veg Blush

Watching with interest. I've got a stone to lose and have tried cutting back at home. But 4 kids and lots of goodies after Christmas isn't helping temptation! Is it easy enough to follow - I always feel hungry

Testarossa1 · 24/01/2018 13:33

I've got just under 2 stone to lose. Lost 3.5lb in week one and 2.5lb at weigh in this Monday. So yes can be done. Had heard though that the more you have to lose the bigger the loses at first. (Don't know if that's true though)

Oldowl · 25/01/2018 06:48

I started in Sept with a stone to lose. It took 9 weeks. I lost:
2lb, 0.5lb, 2lb, 2lb, 1.5lb, 0.5lb, 4lb (went to a morning weigh in), 1.5lb TARGET!

Good luck. It is better if it comes off slowly. I found my smallest weight losses happened during the weeks I upped my exercise. Apparently muscle weighs more than fat. My best advice is 'weight loss happens in the kitchen'. The exercise (a 15 minute run every evening, or 1 hour walk) toned me and made a huge difference especially to my leg shape.

Weighed last night ( week 2) lost 1 pound. I'm fine with that

runawayfund · 25/01/2018 22:54

4.5lb off!

More than happy with that for my first week. Aiming for 1lb a week now

I had a stone and a half so bit more. Lost 5.5lbs in week 1, maintained in week 2 and aftrler that it was anywhere between half a pound to 1.5 pounds each week. Nothing hugely impressive.and certainly never a contender for slimmer of the week but slow and steady wins the race

pilates · 27/01/2018 12:52

Well done op, I have a stone to lose. 2 1/2 first week, 1/2 second and 1 1/2 third.

WorkingMumOnTheGo · 30/01/2018 00:12

I lost -7lb in my first week. This was last year in May when I first started SW.
