Do anybody find they lose more weight if they have less syns?

Just wondering this! I know you can have between 5-15 syns a day (sometimes more depending on how much you weigh). I always have between 10-15 syns, which I usually have my syns on wotsits, extra milk, options chocolate, sauces, etc. I aim for 10 a day so I have the 5 syn leeway if I ever fancied something naughty or if I miscalculate syn values! When I first started, I was having very little syns, probably less than 5 but no more than. I lost 2 stone and I am starting to feel deprived so I am using syns but my weight loss is slowing down (I promise I am writing in my SW diary, checking the syn calculator for absolutely everything I eat so I am not going over!) Any ideas? Should I just go back to having 5 or less syns? I honestly feel so deprived if I do 😩

I was having 5-7 syns a day and had an unexpected gain. A friend suggested going up to 10 and I lost 3.5 syns. Since then I aim for 10 a day.

Weight loss will always slow down after the first few weeks. Don't reduce your syns - you need a small amount of fat in your diet, and if you deprive yourself you'll be more likely to binge or give up. Stick to the syns. An ideal regular loss is up to a max of 2lbs a week. Keep going, it'll be worth it

Hi folks
I've been doing SW for a week now. I'm not in a group I joined the online membership. I've stuck ridgedly to the plan. I've eaten plenty of s and p foods. I've had very few syns all week hoping for a weight loss. Today is weigh in day and I've only list 1/2 pound!😫 What am I doing wrong? The plan says you can eat and fill up on free foods.... ive been doing this but now feel very disheartened. I was hoping for a real kick start to my diet. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

I would up your syns as SW is about having them as part of your daily intake.
I definitely find keeping to 10 a day helps x

Half my family and friends are doing SW and despot this happening to all of them they still get grumpy. Your weight fluctuates one day to the next for loads of different reasons. If you weigh yourself at the 'peak' of this fluctuation it looks like you not lost much weight. Then when you weigh in the week after it looks like you've lost loads but that's only because you're in a weight 'trough'.
Don't get hung up on individual weeks and look at the average weight loss over the time you've been on SW. If it's 2lb or more a week your doing fine.
