Have syn values changed?

Just a quick question as I've never done SW before. I joined in January but hated the meeting (it lasted about 2 hours which I really can't justify on a Saturday morning whilst I leave my husband with 3 children). I'm therefore trying to do it alone - so far so good but I'm struggling to work out the syn value of things (my membership has lapsed now because I haven't been to the classes).

I've been googling the syn value of things and most things have come up - but the posts go back to say 2009 / 2010. Will the syn values still be the same? I've seen someone say 1 syn equates roughly to 20 cals, so if I use this as a check, will they be fairly accurate?

2 hours???!! What on earth were they talking about! If you arrive and get weighed in last at our weigh in you are out the door within 50 minutes!!

Syn values do change but you are fairly safe with a 20 cals = 1 syn method for food without a free food allowance (chocolate, crisps and sweets for e.g.).

I think it's a new class so the leader wasn't massively confident but we all just sat there (pretty much in silence looking awkward) for about 25 minutes, no one was really speaking, then she talked about the plan for 1.5 hours.

Find a new class! At ours weigh in is 10.30 to 11 then image therapy (talking bit) starts at 11 and is always finished by 12. So if you get there at 10.55 you would be there just over an hour.

If you joined in the first week of January they do the new members talk to everyone...it's not the usual format.

Mine is almost two hours. But that's because I go on the way home from the school run and get there at 9.

There isn't enough time to go home and get back.

From the end of weigh in its usually 40 mins at most so you could be there about 45 mins.

If you're on Facebook then search for a group called syns allowed. It has loads of values on there and brings your attention to any that change
