have had a look online and I couldn't find the criteria for entry to the regional/district competition and just wondered if anyone knew what they were?

I would ask my consultant but I don't know if I have been nominated for my group so I don't want to come across like I expect to be in the running!

My consultant said something about having to have lost 4st.

groovychick1 · 08/08/2015 15:33

Hi I've just had a text from my consultant to say I'm in the final in my group for next week for this....iff you've been nominated they should let you know

calzone · 08/08/2015 23:41

I was nominated. SmileSmile

My SW lady put it in our FB group and said she will give us further details before Wednesday.

Not sure it has anything to do with losing 4 stone or being a healthy BMI......certainly not at our group.

annielostit · 09/08/2015 18:17

There's no set criteria, group members nominate who they feel inspired by. The then short listed lust is voted on

ImperialBlether · 09/08/2015 18:21

Come on, everyone, now's your chance to tell us how much you've lost, in what time, how far you've got to go and how you're going to go about it!

MrMacadoo · 09/08/2015 18:37

there's no criteria to be nominated in group, but there is to be put forward for regional and District competitions I believe. I have heard it's lose 4 stone or more and be within the NHS BMI guidelines. I just wondered if that was true.

I found out today I have been nominated too, so I am thrilled! So I guess I can check with my consultant now!

for the poster who was wondering, I have lost 5 stone in just over a year, going from 15 stone 5 to 10 stone 5. Been at target for 3 months now.

Well one of the competitions had a height restriction if you wanted to be put forward to the regional finals! I'm guessing slimming world equate height with attractiveness and only want someone deemed attractive to win/be in the magazines. Shocking really!

ImperialBlether · 09/08/2015 22:15

Blimey, MrMacadoo, that's absolutely fantastic! Well done!

calzone · 09/08/2015 22:21

I started in January at 14st 3lbs. Was so shocked at how big I had got (for me) and a size 16.

Have lost 36lb to date and am currently 11st 10lbs (ish) and a size 12. Smile

Would like to get to 11 stone to see what I look like. Not sure I will look great at 10 stone. I have size 8 feet so am never going to be petite! Have found my hip bones and my collar bone which made me laugh.

Have joined the social team at SW and that really helps to go to group every week.

ImperialBlether · 09/08/2015 23:09

That's amazing, calzone. It won't take you long to hit 11 stone so you won't have long to see what you look like! Congratulations.

MrMacadoo · 10/08/2015 07:05

thanks Imperial!

Thanks Imperial SmileSmile

Weigh in on Wednesday.

lighteningirl · 10/08/2015 20:07

None of the competitions have a height restriction! you do have to know your height and your consultant is supposed to check it, group completions open to all but district and national finals Woman of the year needs to have lost four stone at least half a stone in last year never heard the healthy BMI requirement in 9 years as a consultant

MrMacadoo · 14/08/2015 17:25

how did everyone get on? Smile
